North America: Say hello to the Observer!

Avju Solutions has taken another major step in its international expansion with the deployment of its Observer technology in the United States. The first installation took place at Brunswick Landing in Maine, in collaboration with the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority (MRRA) marking the beginning of Avju’s U.S. presence.

The Observer units will provide improved grid insight and help strengthen power resilience in the region. The pilot project has already received strong feedback from local partners and is paving the way for larger deployments planned in 2026.

In connection with this milestone, Avju was also represented at the USA–Norway Business Summit 2025 in Minnesota, an event celebrating 200 years of Norwegian emigration to the United States.

The summit brought together leaders from both nations to strengthen collaboration in security, technology, and innovation, attended by H.R.H. Crown Prince Haakon, Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide, and Minister of Trade and Industry Cecilie T. Myrseth.

Avju’s CEO, Andreas Haugen, contributed to the panel discussion “Norwegian Defense Industry in the U.S, Success Stories and Future Opportunities”, sharing insights on how Norwegian innovation can enhance power resilience and support critical infrastructure abroad.

Panel participants:

  • Arne Skjaerpe – Teledyne FLIR
  • Kjell Kringsjå – Nammo Defense Systems Inc.
  • Andreas Haugen – Avju Solutions
  • Rylan Harris – Northrop Grumman
  • Mats Hetling – Nordiq Products AS

With the Observer now operating on American grids and interest from U.S. partners growing, Avju continues to deliver on its mission:

Securing power by predicting tomorrow — from Northern Norway to North America.
