Avju Solutions is changing how quickly a small AI team can build and deploy computer vision models. Our partnership with eSmart Systems shows how.

Every Observer unit mounted on a power line captures a continuous stream of high-resolution imagery. The real value lies in what that imagery can tell a grid operator: early signs of damage, vegetation risk, icing, and other threats to reliability. Turning raw images into trusted AI models, however, has traditionally demanded large teams and long development cycles.

That is the equation we are changing. By putting eSmart Systems AI Studio to work behind the scenes, our AI team builds computer vision models directly from imagery captured by Observer devices in the field, and integrates them straight into Gridvju, our monitoring and analytics platform.

From field imagery to deployed model

The workflow is deliberately simple. Imagery from the grid flows into AI Studio, where models are trained, refined and validated, before being deployed into Gridvju as part of the services our utility customers already use. No parallel systems or lengthy handovers between tooling and product.

Our goal is to develop high-performing models faster, and bring new, value-adding services to utility customers sooner. For a lean team, that speed is a genuine competitive edge, and for our customers, it means the intelligence in their grid keeps improving without waiting for the next hardware generation.

What it means going forward

This way of working reflects how we build at Avju. Hardware proven in Arctic conditions, paired with software and AI that evolve continuously. It is the same combination that has carried us into the NATO DIANA accelerator and international deployments, and computer vision is where much of the next value will be created.
