Avju Solutions continues to strengthen its position within the international defence and dual-use technology landscape through active participation in the NATO DIANA program.

Strengthening defence innovation through strategic engagement in Athens

As part of Cluster 4, the company recently joined a high-impact gathering in Athens, bringing together innovators, defence stakeholders, and accelerator ecosystems from across Europe.

The event marked the first joint interaction between Greek and German cohorts within the DIANA framework. Co-hosted by the Innovation Accelerator @Demokritos and the Palladion Defence Accelerator, it created a strong platform for cross-border collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Bridging innovation with defence and operational reality

Participation in NATO DIANA is a key element of Avju Solutions’ strategy to position its technologies within critical infrastructure, security, and defence applications. The programme connects innovative companies with test centres, operational stakeholders, and investment networks, accelerating the path from concept to deployment.

During the Athens sessions, a strong focus was placed on the practical realities of defence innovation. Topics such as intellectual property and export control provided essential insight into regulatory frameworks. In parallel, operational briefings delivered valuable military perspectives, ensuring that technological development aligns with realworld needs.

“Real impact in defense and critical infrastructure happens when innovation is shaped by operational reality. NATO DIANA gives us the arena to test, refine, and position our technology where resilience, trust, and security truly matter.” – says Magnus Haugen, CMO at Avju Solutions.

Insights into energy security and critical infrastructure

A central theme of the programme was energy infrastructure resilience, an increasingly important aspect of modern security. The visit to the Revithoussa LNG Terminal offered firsthand exposure to one of Southeast Europe’s key energy assets.

This provided valuable insight into large-scale energy operations, supply diversification, and system resilience. For Avju Solutions, such environments highlight the growing importance of robust, secure, and reliable technology in safeguarding critical infrastructure.

“Energy security is becoming a core pillar of modern defence. Through NATO DIANA, we gain vital operational insight that helps us build reliable technology to protect and secure critical energy infrastructure.” – Haugen adds.

Advancing dual-use technology and data reliability

Avju Solutions continues to develop advanced solutions within satellite-based verification and positioning technologies. While specific technical details remain proprietary, the company focuses on enhancing data reliability, strengthening navigation capabilities, and supporting resilience against interference in critical systems.

These capabilities are increasingly relevant in both civilian and defence contexts, where accuracy, trust, and operational continuity are essential.

Building strategic partnerships across borders

The Athens event also emphasized the importance of collaboration. A dedicated networking forum brought together 22 innovative companies alongside investors, institutional actors, and defence representatives.

This environment enabled meaningful dialogue and the early formation of strategic partnerships. For Avju Solutions, participation in such an ecosystem supports continued growth, international positioning, and access to key stakeholders across the defence and technology sectors.

“Through NATO DIANA, we strengthen our ability to align advanced technology with real defence, energy, and infrastructure needs.” – Haugen emphasizes

As the programme progresses, Avju Solutions remains focused on delivering technologies that contribute to resilience, security, and efficiency across critical domains.
